Reviewer: Robin from Iowa, USA I've been looking for a recipe for red bean paste cakes for a long time. This is by far the simplest and tastiest I've found. And most people have the majority of the ingrediants lying around, making it even easier. The one hang up would be finding cans of sweetened red bean paste. I was lucky to find them at the local oriental food store. There are some recipes that have you make it yourself right from the beans- but that's a needless step, really. Preperation is straight forward, but be aware that the cakes will puff up in the steamer. Also, the recipe does not list how many this makes. I would estimate around 20 cakes, which is quite alot when each cake is about 3-4 inches in diameter. Not realizing this, I now have a veritable mountain in my fridge. But, at least they're very tasty! Was this review helpful to you? Yes No
