Sukiyaki Without Hassle Serves 4 1/2 lb thin sliced roast beef from the deli 1 pkg crimini or white button mushrooms, sliced thick 1 bunch spinach leaves 2 beef bouillon cubes 2 cups warm water 1/2 medium onion sliced thin 1-2 shots sake salt and pepper to taste In a large saucepan or wok, saute onion and mushrooms for 1 minute in 1T water. Add roast beef and cook an additional 30 seconds. Add water, sake, and bullion. Bring to boil for about 4 minutes. Toss in the spinach leaves and cover. Reduce heat to medium low for 3 minutes or until the spinach has wilted but not cooked. Stir and enjoy!
Replacements - Spinach for seaweed, mushrooms for tofu, and bouillon for stock.
