Cream of Wheat basic directions

Stove Top method

Servings 1 2 3
water or milk 1-1/4 Cups 2 Cups 4 cups
Salt (optional) 1/8 tsp 1/4 tsp 1/2 tsp
Cream of Wheat 3 Tbs 1/3 Cup 3/4 Cup

Heat water and salt to boiling; milk and salt to almost boiling.
For creamier cereal, use milk. Add Cream of Wheat slowly stirring
constantly. Return to boiling. Reduce heat to maintain a low boil.
Cook 1-1/2 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly.

Microwave cooking directions.

Mix 3 Tbsp cereal, 3/4 cup cold tap water or milk and a dash of
salt (optional) in a 2 cup microwavable bowl (I always use a _large_
bowl as it tries to overflow when cooking). For creamier cereal,
use milk.

Cook on high (100 % power) for 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1-2 minutes
more, stirring well every 30 seconds, until thick and smooth. Mix
well before serving.

I had transferred my Cream of Wheat to a plastic container some time ago, partly because of moths in the pantry geting into it. I had cut out the package directions but had lost them and had already promised someone Cream of Wheat. The Kraft web site didn't even have the directions, and this was the only site I found that did. THANK YOU!! They're saved on my computer now, LOL :)
