Grilled Italian Steak

3/4 cup Italian dressing
2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 Teaspoons dried basil, crushed
1/4 Teaspoon cracked black pepper
2-3 pound boneless sirloin or top round steak
In large, shallow, non-aluminum baking dish, combine the Italian
dressing, cheese, basil, and pepper. Add the steak and turn to
coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator, turning occasionally,
Prepare the grill or broiler.
Remove the steak from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Grill
or broil the steak, turning once, until done to taste. Remove to
a platter. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, over medium heat, bring
the reserved marinade to a boil and continue boiling 1 minute. Pour
over the steak and serve.
