Bun Round

Measurements are Imperial.

1 LB bread flour
1 tsp. salt
7 fl oz milk (skimmed or non-fat is fine)
2 oz butter
1 beaten egg
2 oz sugar
4 oz currants
2 oz mixed citrus peel
2 sachets yeast
1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg

Put all but the dried fruit and peel in the machine, and set to
dough mode. If your machine has a beep to add ingredients and does
not mush up the fruit add when beep sounds. If however it does
break up fruit, complete the dough mode, and add fruit after it
has finished, You can then set it to dough again, for just long
enough to mix in fruit (saves on the hard work!)

Divide dough into two rounds, and place on greased baking trays.Pat
into 9 inch rounds, and divide into 8 triangles. Do not separate.
Leave to rise until the rounds have thickened a little. Glaze with
egg, and sprinkle with preserving sugar. Bake at about 180c for
about 15 min until golden. Transfer to cooling racks.

Serve sliced and buttered.
