SEARCH RECIPES: LOCATION: Recipes >> Breads Muffins >> Apple Strudel    Apple Strudel APPLE STRUDEL MUFFINS 2 cups self-raising flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 2/3 cup milk 1/4 cup butter 1 medium grated apple 1 Tbsp grated lemon rind 1 Tbsp grated lemon rind 1/4 cup walnuts 2 Tbsp sugar Preheat oven to 400F, prepare pans. Put flour and sugar in bowl, rub in butter until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture for topping. Beat egg, add milk. Add dry mix to wet mix until just combined. Gently stir in apple and 1 Tbsp rind. Spoon into muffin tins. Add reserved crumb mix to lemon rind, walnuts and sugar and sprinkle over each muffin. Bake for 20 mins or until done. I'm sure Anna from Houston meant well with her name commen but when I asked Google to search for APPLE STREUSSEL MUFFINS, it came back with: Did you mean: APPLE STREUSEL MUFFINS A search for APPLE STREUSEL MUFFINS said there were about 37,900 listings. Interestingly, a search for APPLE STRUDEL MUFFINS said there were about 26,300 listings as well. My conclusion? "What's in a name? By any name, I'd make it again!"
