REFRIGERATOR BRAN MUFFINS

5 t soda
2 cups 40% bran flakes
2 cups boiling water
5 cups flour
1 cup butter
1 quart buttermilk
2 cups sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 eggs beaten
2 cups dates chopped (or raisins)
4 cups All Bran cereal

Dissolve soda in water, cool. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs.
Combine in separate bowl All Bran, 40% bran flakes, and flour.
Gradually stir in cereal mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add
nuts, dates (raisins) and soda mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
Pour into greased muffin tins. Bake at 375 for 30 min.

Batter will keep in refrigerator 6 weeks and yields 6 dozen. Do
not freeze.
