Johnny Cakes
(Flat Cornbread Pancake)
2 cups white fine ground corn meal
1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
2 cups boiling water or hot milk
Mix meal and salt. Add liquid, stirring while adding. Use butter
or oil in frying pan - medium heat. Use soup spoon. Place meal in
pan and use spoon to flatten to thickness. Turn when brown.
