Bread Pudding
1/4 pound grated stale bread 1 quart milk, boiled with two or three sticks of cinnamon 8 eggs 1/4 pound sugar grated lemon-peel
Boil the milk with cinnamon, strain it, and let cool. Beat the eggs, and when the milk is cold, stir them into it, then mix with the bread and sugar. Add the lemon-peel, and if you choose, a tablespoon of rosewater. Bake in a buttered dish, and grate nutmeg over it when done. Let cool.
