BREAD PUDDING
6 eggs 6 tablespoons sugar 1 quart milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 pieces bread, buttered and quartered dash nutmeg
Beat eggs and sugar until lemon colored. Add milk gradually, mixing well, then add vanilla. Butter a quart and a half casserole dish and place the quartered bread in bottom, over-lapping each other. Pour milk/egg mixture over bread and sprinkle with a dash of/or grated nutmeg. Place in a larger pan with about 1/2" of water in the bottom of the pan. Bake @ 400-degrees for 1/2 hour or until knife comes out clean.
