Hollandse Honing Brood

2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 tsp cloves

1/3 tsp nutmeg
1/3 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg, well-beaten
1/3 cup honey

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add the buttermilk, egg, and
honey. Blend well.

Note: For a moist loaf, reduce flour by 1/4 cup and add a little
more honey or buttermilk.

Pour mixture into an oiled 9x5x3" loaf pan and bake at 350F for
50-60 minutes.
