Flapjacks

450g porridge oats
350g butter
275g castor sugar
225g golden syrup
1tbsp ground ginger

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

Grease a 5cm deep cake tin, and line the bottom with paking parchment.
Heat the butter, castor sugar and golden syrup together, and stir
until completely melted.

Mix in the oats and ginger. Pour the mixture into the tin, and bake
for 35 minutes. Make sure you don't overcook them.

Remove the flapjacks from the oven, and leave to cool. While still
warm, cut into squares then leave in the tin to cool completely.
