Hush Puppies
2 cups white corn meal
1 tsp baking powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon salt
Combine corn meal, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add slowly to
3.5 cups of boiling water, stirring briskly. As soon as mixture
is smooth, remove from heat. Stir in butter. Cool. Fry in 350F
oil until golden brown.
