Lemon Blueberry Poppy Seed Bread
Makes: 1 loaf

1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup softened butter

3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Stir together all ingredients till crumbly.

Beat sguar and butter till combined. Beat in egg. Add milk and beat
well. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredient
mixture to egg mixture. Stir till combined. Gently stir in blueberries,
poppy seeds and peel. Do not overmix. Spread batter in pan and
sprinkle with topping. Bake 50-55 minutes till toothpick inserted
near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack 10 minutes. Remove
from pan to rack to cool completely.

Stir together all ingredients till smooth. Drizzle over cooled
bread.
