Pecan Brown Bread
Makes 1 loaf

3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 and 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup chopped pecans

Sift dry ingredients together, saving just a bit of flour to mix
later with the pecans. Add buttermilk and molasses. Mix reserved
flour with pecans and stir into batter. Put into well-greased 9 by
5-inch bread pan. Bake in 300 degree oven about 1 hour or until
it tests done.
