Apricot Pull-Apart Bread
16 oz. frozen loaf of white bread dough, thawed 12 oz. can/jar of apricot cake or pastry filling 3 Tbsp melted butter or margarine 1/3 cup sugar
Cut one 16-ounce loaf of frozen white bread dough, thawed, in half lengthwise; then cut into 8 pieces crosswise (16 pieces total). Flatten pieces of dough with fingers, stretching slightly to form 4-inch circles.
Using the apricot filling, spoon one tablespoon in center of each circle. Bring edges of dough together, pinch to seal. Dip in 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine and then in 1/3 cup sugar. Pleace, seam side down, in 2 layers in a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Cover; let rise until almost doubled in size.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until done, covering with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking. Remove from the pan. Invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm. Makes one loaf (16 servings).
