PUMPKIN PECAN BREAD

1 c butter, softened
1 c granulated sugar
1 c brown sugar, packed
4 eggs
1 c canned pumpkin
2-3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 T pumpkin pie spice
2 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 c pecans, ground or finely chopped

Cream butter and sugars in large mixer bowl until light. Add eggs,
one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in pumpkin.
Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, salt,
and pecans in a small bowl. Add to pumpkin mixture; mix until just
blended. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 8-1/2 by 4-1/2 inch loaf
pans. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10
minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center. Cool 10
minutes and remove from pans. Cool on wire rack.
