2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons shortening 1 cup milk
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Rub the shortening into this, add the milk, mix lightly but well. Do not knead. Roll out 1 to 2 inches thick, cut into biscuits and bake at 450F about 10 minutes.
