Lofty Biscuits 2 cup flour 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon cream of tarter 3/4 cup margarine 1 egg, beaten 1 cup milk In a bowl combine the flours, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cream of tarter. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add eggs and milk, stirring quickly. Knead lightly on floured board. Roll or pat gently to 1 inch thickness. Cut into 1 to 2 inch biscuits, separate on cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
