English Muffin loaves
yields 2 loaves

6 cups flour
2 packages (tablespoons) yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup water
2 cups milk
cornmeal

Heat liquids until very warm. Stir into 3 cups of flour. Gradually
add the remaining 3 cups of flour until makes a stiff batter. Put
into 2 greased loaf pans. Sprinkle top with cornmeal. Cover and
let rise for about 45 minutes or until about 1 inch above pan.
Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.
