White Bread
800 grams all-purpose flour 400 grams warm water 35 grams powdered milk 2 packages yeast 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt 2 tbsp lard or vegetable shortening, melted 2 eggs
Mix half the flour, all the yeast and water. If you have time, let this mixture ferment for a few hours to overnight. Otherwise mix in the sugar, salt, powdered milk, eggs and lard. Then gradually mix in the remaining flour.
Let it rise until doubled. Punch down and divide into two loaves. Let rise in loaf pans. Bake 400F for 35 minutes.
