Strawberry-stuffed French Toast

2 large strawberries (fresh or frozen)
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 large eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla bean
8 slices bread
oil

Beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla with a whisk until
well mixed. Spread all 8 slices of bread with the strawberry
mixture. Put 2 slices of bread together sandwich style with the
strawberry mixture in the middle. Dip each of the four sandwiches
in the egg mixture. Pour oil in a hot griddle, 350, and put the
toast in the oil, cooking until golden brown, turning once. Serve
either with maple syrup or fresh berries and whipped cream.
