Deep Dark Chocolate Cake

2 c granulated sugar
1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
3/4 c cocoa
1 1/2 ts baking soda
1 1/2 ts baking powder
1 ts salt
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 c vegetable oil
2 ts vanilla extract
1/2 ts chocolate extract
1 c boiling water

Heat oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans or one
9x13x2-inch baking pan. In a large mixer bowl, stir together sugar,
flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add eggs, milk,
oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in boiling
water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into pans. Bake 30-35
minutes for round pans, 35-40 minutes for rectangular pan. Cool 10
minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely. Frost with cream cheese
frosting. Makes 8-10 servings.
