Black Devils' Food Cake
2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 egg
2/3 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup stong, black coffee
Mix dry ingredients, then oil and egg and buttermilk. Stir until
blended. Add coffee. Put in 9" x 13" cake pan (sprayed with
cooking spray and dusted with flour). Bake 40 minutes at 350
degrees.
Top with your favorite frosting. This cake is so rich and moist
it tastes wonderful even with no frosting.
Note: Batter for this cake is very thin. Don't be surprised how
it looks going into the cake pan.
