DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add cocoa to flour
which has been sifted. Add soda to buttermilk. Add flour mixture
alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Bake in 350 degree oven
until done.
