Ho Ho Cake

1 box rich chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 can or 1 small can evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter
another 1/2 cup of butter
3 bars unsweetened baker's chocolate
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 Tablespoons hot water

Prepare chocolate cake mix according to directions. Remove enough
batter to make 8 cup cakes. Pour remaining batter into 9x13 pan
and bake according to directions. Cool.

Mix shortening, sugar, vanilla, evaporated milk and 1 stick butter
at low speed increasing gradually to full speed for 20 minutes.
Spread on cool cake and place in refrigerator.

Melt 1 stick butter and unsweetened bakers chocolate in double
boiler. Cool slightly and add powdered sugar, egg, and hot water.
Beat until smooth and shiny. Spoon on cake from edge to center.

Keep in refrigerator. Cut into squares. Very rich and yummy.
Usually enough filling and glaze is left to cover the 8 cupcakes
as well.
