Milky Way Cake
8 Milky Way candy bars
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup nuts
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
Melt candy bars and 1 stick margarine in double boiler and stir
until smooth; set aside to cool. Cream sugar with 1 stick margarine.
Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Combine flour, salt, and soda;
add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to sugar mixture, and
beat well. Stir in nuts, vanilla, and candy mixture. Pour into
tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Frosting
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup marshmallow creme
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Combine sugar and milk and cook to soft ball stage. Add butter,
marshmallow creme, and chocolate chips, and stir until smooth.
