Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

4 med apples, peeled and diced
1 c sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup choclate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Combine flour, sugar, salt, b.p., cinnamon . Stir in eggs, apples,
nuts, raisins, chips and stir all well by hand till well mixed.
Spread mixture into a greased 9 x 9 inch pyrex pan.
Sprinkle some extra sugar and cinnamon over the top. bake 350 till
golden and done, about 35 to 45 minutes. remove pan from oven and
place on rack to cool. Cut into squares to serve.

I made this cake for my husband (who is usually very picky) He loved it! It was easy to make. A very light cake, not to heavy. I added some apple sauce to the apples as well.
