Apple Dapple Cake

1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup apple pie filling (1/2 can)
1 cup chopped nuts (pecan or walnuts)

Beat together oil, sugar, flour, eggs, cinnamon, salt, soda and
vanilla (batter will be very thick). Add apple pie filling and
nuts. Beat until mixed (batter becomes more thin and light). Pour
into 2 greased and floured (or use PAM) 9x5x3 inch loaf pans or
may use 4 small loaf pans or 1 large 10 inch tube pan. Bake about
1 hour 15 minutes at 350 F, about 45 min. for small loaf pans. This
cake freezes well. Frosting may or may not be used depending on
your own preference.


Frosting

4 oz cream cheese
1/2 stick margarine
1 box confectioners sugar (sift)
1/2 can apple pie filling

Mix cream cheese, margarine. Add confections sugar mix well. Add
pie filling and mix.
