Applesauce Cake
1/2 cup shortening or butter
2 cups sugar
1 egg
2 cups applesauce
1/2 water
2 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsps soda
1 1/2 tsps salt
3/4 tsps cinnamon
1/2 tsps cloves
1/2 tsps allspice
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
1 cup cherry halves
Cream the first 2 ingredients. Add the next 3 ingredients and mix
with a mixer. Add the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon.
Stir in walnuts, raisins, and cherry halves. Pour into a well
greased bundt pan. Bake at 350F for 1 hour or until cake tests
done.
