1 cup margarine (2 sticks, cubed)
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons flavoring (lemon, rum, almond, etc)
1/2 cup sugar
juice of a lemon
Cream butter and sugar. Add 3 eggs one at a time, beating well
after each. Mix in flour. Add 3 eggs one at a time, beating well
Put into greased, floured tube pan and bake at 350F for 1-1/2 hours.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar and juice of 1 lemon in pan and bring to a boil.
Spoon onto top of hot cake, and brush to spread with a pastry brush.
