COFFEE CAKE
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or shortening
1/2 cup milk
cinnamon
2 beaten eggs
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour with baking powder and add butter
mixture, alternately with milk. Add beaten eggs and beat all
together. Pour batter into an 11 by 8 inch pan and sprinkle sugar,
cinnamon and chopped nuts over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25
to 35 minutes. Should be moist and soft.
