New Orleans Fruit Cake

2 cups cugar
4 eggs
2 lbs. pecans
2 tsps. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. cherries
1 lb. dates

Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until frothy; Coat fruit with flour
mixture (flour and baking power). Add egg mixture. Line 2 loaf
pans with wax paper and dump 1/2 mixture in each pan. Bake in
preheated 300 degree over for 1 hour.
