OOEY-GOOEY BUTTER BARS
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 egg
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
8 oz pkg. cream cheese
1 lb pkg. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix together cake mix, melted margarine and 1 egg. Press this
mixture into an oblong baking pan. Add a layer of coconut and
chopped nuts. Mix together cream cheese, 2 eggs, powdered sugar
and vanilla. Spread over coconut and nuts; bake for 35 minutes at
350 degrees. Cool and cut into small squares. Yield: 36 squares.
