Blackberry Jam Cake
2 cups sugar
1 cup (margarine) (2 sticks)
1 cup milk (sweet or sour)
3 cups flour
5 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups blackberry jam
1 cup nuts
1 cup raisins
Cream butter with sugar. Add other ingredients, except egg whites.
Mix. Add egg whites, beaten, last. Bake at 325 degrees until
straw comes out clean, maybe 1 hour or more.
