Lemon Pound Cake

1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
6 eggs, well beaten
3 teaspoons lemon oil extract
1 cup sour cream
3 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat to 300 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream the unsalted
butter with the sugar. Blend in the well beaten eggs and lemon
oil extract. Add the the sour cream, sifted flour, baking soda
and, salt. Mix at a medium speed for 2 minutes. Bake in a well
greased bundt or tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick
inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool pan on a wire rack
for 30 minutes before unmolding.
