Print this Recipe    Orange-Lemon cake

250 g butter or margarine
200 g sugar
1 package vanille sugar
1 pinch of salt
3 eggs
ground peel of 2 untreated oranges and 1 lemon
300 g flour
2 ts. baking powder
juice of 2 oranges and 1 lemon

Cream butter with sugar, vanille sugar and salt. Add one egg after
the other as well as the ground peels. Combine baking powder with
flour and add to the dough. Line an oblong cake tin (30 cm long,
10 cm wide, 7 cm high) with baking paper, fill in the dough, and
bake in the lower part of the oven at 350 F for about 70 minutes.
Prick the hot cake with a long toothpick or something similar and
slowly pour the orange-lemon juice over the cake, lift it cautiously
out of the tin and let cool off. If you like, you may coat the cake
with a lemon icing like in the above recipe.
