2 baked 8- or 9-inch white cake layers, cooled
1 pkg ( 3 oz) raspberry flavor Jello
1 pkg (3 oz) lime flavor Jello
2 c. boiling water
8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed

Place cake layers, top sides up, in two clean 8- or 9-inch layer
pans. Prick each cake with fork at 1/2 inch intervals.

Meanwhile, dissolve each package of Jello separately in 1 cup of
the boiling water. Carefully pour raspberry Jello over one cake
layer and lime Jello over the second cake layer. Chill 3 to 4 hours,
Dip one cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds (usually a bit longer);
then unmold onto serving plate and top with about 1 cup of Cool
Whip. Unmold second layer carefully onto the first layer. Frost
top and sides with remaining topping. Chill.

I was asked to bring a dessert this year for Christmas dinner at my son's house and I immediately thought of this recipe. I have made it many times over the years... it is so easy to make and it looks very festive!! It's also very tasty and it's a light dessert to serve after a heavy holiday meal!! I recommend it !!
