PRUNE CAKE
2 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp nutmeg
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup stewed prunes
1/4 cup sour cream
3/4 cup prune juice
1/2 cup choppped walnuts
Sift and combine dry ingredinets. Cream shortening and sugar well.
add eggs one at a time and blend well. Add prunes and mix well.
Alternately add flour mixture with combined sour cream and prune
juice to creamed mixturee.Dont over beat. Fold in nuts if using.
Turn batter into a greased 9 inch tube pan. Bake 350 about 1 hour
or tested done. Needs no frosting very moist.
