PRUNE CAKE
1 cup oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cooked prunes
2 cups cake flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
For cake, mix oil, sugar, and eggs and mix well. Then add buttermilk,
salt, nutmeg, soda, cinnamon, vanilla, prunes, flour and pecans
and mix well. turn into a greased and floured tube or oblong cake
pan and bake 325 for about an hour or tested done. cool.
Make icing by heating sugar, buttermilk, butter and vanilla to the
soft ball stage and pour over cooled cake.
