Print this Recipe    Sour Cream Coffee Cake

"Sour1/2 c butter, or margarine
1/2 cup+ sugar (if you like very sweet cake then increaseto 2/3 cup-1 cup of sugar)

2 eggs

2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 baking powder
1/6 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream (no fat works well, too!)
1 tsp vanilla


Fill in with

1/4+ cup sugar (if you are a sugar freak make this 1/2 cup)
1-2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped or whole pecans (as fresh as possible



1 Cream butter and sugar (hand held pastry blender works fine)
2 Add eggs one at a time. Beat after adding in each egg.
3 Sift dry ingredients together.
4 Add dry ingredients to mixture alternating with spoonfuls of sour cream,br>5 Stir in vanilla
6 Mix the "filling" ingredients together
7 Grease 10-inch tube pan
8 Pour in half of the batter
9 Sprinkle with hal the filling mixture. Be generous with cinnamon and nuts (even if you have to add a little more)
10 Repeat last two steps11 Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings of a wonderful coffee cake withincredible aroma - heavenly!

Guests who watch their sugar intake and don't want to overdo on sugar (but prefer having a little sugar to havingsugar sweeteners, or nothing) will clearly appreciate this coffee cake with the original sugar amounts suggestedin the recipe stated above.

This will provide a sweet (but not too sweet) delightful cake for you and your gueststo have with tea or coffee. Believe me, the smell alone will entice people. Everyone willlove it! Better make two!
