Easy Sponge Cake
8oz butter
8oz brown sugar
8oz self-rising flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 large eggs
Cream together butter and sugar Add sieved flour and baking powder
Add eggs and give mixture a quick beat Pour into a greased 8 inch
square cake tin and bake in oven 170C for 65 minutes. Turn out onto
wire tray. A perfect sponge.
