Chocolate Oatmeal 03

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup Crisco
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 3/4 cup flour with
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup oatmeal (quick cooking)
1 cup nuts (optional)
6 oz pkg chocolate chips
Cream together shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift
together flour, salt and soda and add to butter mixture. Add
oatmeal, nuts and chips to creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonsful onto baking sheet. Bake at 350F, 12-15 minutes.
