Hokey Pokey Biscuits (Cookies) 150 grams butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon golden syrup 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon milk 1 3/4 cups plain flour Place butter, sugar and golden syrup in a large saucepan (big enough to mix in all ingredients). Heat, stirring all the time until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Almost bring to the boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Dissolve soda in milk and add to butter/sugar mixture. Add flour and mix well. Roll tablespoons full into balls and place on greased baking trays. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake at 180 deg Celsius for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Makes about 24
