Maple Nut Cookies
1/2 maple syrup
3/4 cup of butter
1/2 white sugar
1/2 cup b. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup of biscuit mix
1 1/2 cup of flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 walnuts chopped
sugar for dipping cookies
In mixing bowl, cream all sugars and butter. Add egg, maple syrup and vanilla.
Mix well until creamy. Then sift all dry ingredients together and slow add to creamed mixture.
Mix well until blended thoroughly. Chill for an hour then roll into balls and dip into sugar;pressing down with a spoon in the middle.
Bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until middle is set on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Makes 4 dozen
