Mincemeat Oatmeal Cookies
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 cups molasses
2 Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbsp. water
1 1/4 cups mince meat
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 cups rolled oats
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, molasses, milk, water and
mincemeat. Sift flour, measure and sift again with salt and baking
powder; add rolled oats. Combine with first mixture; mix thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot
oven (400 F) 15-20 min. Makes 45 cookies.
