Unbaked Biscuits
750 ml rolled oats 500 ml sugar 75 ml cocoa 250 ml milk 2 Tbsp butter 1-2 tsp vanilla essence 125 ml desiccated coconut 125 ml chopped nuts pinch of salt
Simmer sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt over a low heat until well blended, then add rolled oats, chopped nuts and vanilla essence and remove from heat. Beat mixture well until stiff, then drop in spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Leave until set.
