Chewy Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter and both sugars
until creamy. Beat in eggs until well blended, then mix in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, stir together flour, salt, spices. Add to butter
mixture and stir well. Stir in oats, raisins and nuts until eavenly
moistened.
Bake at 375, 10-12 min on a greased sheet.
