Sugar Cookies
2 cups sugar (white)
5 cups flour
1 teasp. baking soda
4 teasps. baking powder
1 teasp. salt (or less)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup crisco
2 eggs
1 teasp. vanilla
Sift together the dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and
blend well.
For each cookie, drop 2 Tablespoons of dough onto cookie sheet at
least six inches apart. (I use parchment paper to cover cookie
sheet) Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or granulated if desired
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove immediately and cool
on racks.
