It lists the amount of flour as two to four cups. I tried it with two cups of flour and it was a mess - not enough volume. I also tried it with three cups of flour and it was okay, but not as good as I remember my grandmother making it. I tried the recipe using four cups of flour and my dough was extremely dry and not pliable enough. Your best bet is to use three cups of flour and one teaspoon of almond extract after you've mixed in the egg and vanilla. It brings out the wonderful flavor I remember so well when my grandmother made these. I wish I had gotten her recipe before she left us. There is not equal to those century-old recipes.
